Welcome To SLC Student Ministries!
We meet every Sunday evening, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. We offer classes for 6th grade through 12th grade.
Students are engaged in learning God's Word through small group discussions and teaching times, reinforced with hands-on activities and events. Students are encouraged to share their perspectives and study God's Word together and build a solid biblical foundation. Our prayer is that each student learns to recognize God's voice in their life so they are able to make Godly decisions and love God so deeply that they seek to please Him in their decisions.
Is it all serious? Absolutely not. We are serious about getting closer to God. We are also serious about making great friendships and having a lot of fun in the process. About 30 minutes of each student ministry meeting is spent in discussion and teaching, followed by 30 minutes of fun and games.
The last 60 minutes you never know what you are going to get. Definitely food of some sort, definitely time to hang-out with friends, but every week is different! We would list everything we've done but we've done too much to list here! (i.e. dancing in a flash mob, heading out to a local fast-food joint, ATV'ing, hiking waterfalls, sending out care packages, pool parties, cooking classes, group games, concerts, sporting events, community outreaches, learning dramas.) If you want to try it, we will do it as a group with you!
We look forward to getting to know you. Bring a friend if you are move comfortable bringing someone you know, or just come by yourself and we will make you feel so comfortable that you will want to come back every week!
